Edison's Birthday Party!!

So last Saturday, we celebrated Edison's 3rd birthday since its the day before Thanksgiving and we will be in Utah.

We decided to go with a dinosaur theme and had so much fun! Here is Addi with the dinosaur mask on.

The kids played this game similar to pin the tail on the donkey but they had to put their pterodactyl in the right place. They also did a dinosaur egg hunt but I forgot to grab the camera.

The best part, and most stressful part, was the cake. I think I get these ideas and go a little nuts
but luckily Kim was there to help me. Here it is from scratch...

And this is what it became...

Here it is close up! (Without the volcano going off)
Thanks Kim for all your help. And thanks Laurel for sending all the dinosaur stuff. I wasn't quick enough to get pictures of the present opening and cake eating really, it was a lot of 3 year olds to watch. So fun though!!!

Halloween...just 2 weeks late...

In the morning, we decided last minute to go to Boo at the Zoo and were so glad we did. We got their earlier than the year before so it wasn't as crowded, but still busy. Edison did great saying his "trick or treat" and "thank you" but wanted to ride in the stroller in between stations half way through our trip. He was a very fierce LION and loved to ROAR at people.
Don't you just love Edison's forced smile...scary!

We had a blast at our trunk of treat that night!!
Cute little Spider-man Logan joined us in asking for candy. The boys knew their line well.
Our adorable, chubby frog!
Check out this fierce and irresistible dragon, Tanner!
And here is the scary pair of Tiger and Lion buddies!

Rest of October

So this is WAY late but here are a few pics of late October, early November.

The boys loved playing in the snow outside. Not to hard to please!

We LOVE when Grandpa comes to visit.

I told Edison that Grandpa was coming and he looked at me, made is scary, fierce face, and said, "I'm gonna wrestle Grandpa" and sure enough, he did!

A girlfriend at 3?!?!?!?!?!?

So upon picking Edison up from nursery today, we were informed that he had is arm around a cute little girl named Morgan and that they KISSED!!! WHAT?!? (not sure what kind of kiss and where but still) He was asking for her a couple days ago too? Huh, I'm not really sure what to think about that. It's sweet that he likes his friends, and I guess I'd rather hear that then that he hit or pushed or hurt someone. But how do I teach my son to not even think of kissing girls for like 20 years!!! I thought it was hilarious, but at the same time, I really don't want him doing that. The whole drive home we talked about how we don't kiss our friends and that it's better to just give high 5's. He echoed back with "yeah, we don't kiss Sydney, we don't kiss Morgan, we give high five's" So does that mean he's already kissed Sydney?!? Well, actually, I know thats true but that was over a year ago the last I saw, back when they were young and innocent, hee hee. Holy Moly, I'm in trouble. Any suggestions :)

Snow day

So last Thursday was a snow day for us. We got Derek the WHOLE day!! Edison loves to wrestle but insisted that he needed to wrestle as a lion so...we busted out his costume. Rather than putting Stewart in his frog, we went for the dog that was a little too big. He would crawl around on the floor with his head all the way down because he wouldn't see. It was hilarious, but those animals got their Daddy!

We decided to go play in it. It took us a little while to get all suited up but here's Edison, ready to venture out...and looks happy about it.

Look at how much snow we got!!! A foot at
least!

Did a little sled ride for Edison and even went down the street to get the mail but that was not such a good idea. The wind was bad and very cold. As we trudge along the sidewalk, at least where we thought the sidewalk was, I kept thinking of the pioneers crossing the plains in the winter. How did they do it??? So glad I don't have to, but respect them even more for their sacrifice.

So before going outside, I mentioned we would have hot chocolate when we came in because we would get so cold. Well, having heard the word chocolate, Edison wanted to skip the getting cold part. We still made him go out but he loved coming back in.

Before lunch, Derek picked Balto out to watch and the boys cuddled up!

After playing so much, they needed a little snooze!

But while the big boys slept, Stewart was exploring his closet!!

That night, we busted out he wii and had fun fishing, racing cows, and shooting clay pigeons. It was an awesome day! We love our Daddy!!

The Galloping Goose 10 K

So a group of us crazy girls decided to train for a race together!! Well...the day came and I had a blast.

Of course I've never been so happy to see a finish line before and cross it, but the whole experience was wonderful.

The best and hardest part was training for it. Our schedules didn't all match up so I mostly trained with Jessica Checketts! She was willing to TALK to me and not listen to music so we were a perfect fit!! We ran the whole race together, until the 6 mile mark. Thanks Jessica, for such an awesome experience!

Stewart was happy to have a medal to play with...

And I was so happy to have my family there to cheer me on.

Thanks girls for an amazing experience...the next race, we'll go with Margaret/Whitney's race idea ;)

The Allreds

So I got the opportunity to capture another beautiful family a couple weeks ago and here they are!! (Sorry it took so long to edit them Allreds...4 shoots in 3 days...lots to edit!!)
